Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal and business data only as long as needed to operate the Services or as required by law.

Data Retention Periods

Active Accounts

Account Information: Retained while your account is active
Transaction Data: Retained for the duration of service plus applicable legal retention periods
Integration Data: Retained while integration is active and authorized
Communication Records: Retained for customer support and legal purposes (typically 3-7 years)

After Account Closure

Personal Information: Deleted within 90 days unless legal retention required
Financial Records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws
Backups: Data may persist in backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten

How to Delete Your Data

Disconnect Integrations

You can disconnect third-party integrations at any time:

QuickBooks: Visit our QuickBooks disconnect page
Plaid: Contact support at support@digitalfunnels.com
Other integrations: Disconnect from your account settings or contact support

When you disconnect, we revoke access tokens and schedule data for deletion.

Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data:

Email privacy@digitalfunnels.com with subject "Data Deletion Request"
Include your account email and any relevant account identifiers
We will verify your identity and process the request
You will receive confirmation when deletion is complete (typically within 30 days)

Partial Deletion Requests

You can request deletion of specific data categories:

Marketing communications and preferences
Specific integration data
Historical records beyond retention requirements

Contact privacy@digitalfunnels.com with your specific request.

Exceptions to Deletion

We may retain certain data despite deletion requests when:

Required by law (tax records, audit trails, legal holds)
Necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
Needed to prevent fraud or ensure security
Anonymous/aggregated data used for analytics (cannot identify you)

Backup Retention

Deleted data may persist in automated backups for a limited period:

Daily backups: Retained for 7 days
Weekly backups: Retained for 4 weeks
Monthly backups: Retained for 3 months

Backup data is securely overwritten as new backups replace old ones.

Data Portability

Before deletion, you can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format. Email privacy@digitalfunnels.com with subject "Data Export Request".
